Butt Splices

Vinyl Butt Splice Terminals

Vinyl Butt Splice connectors connect two wires together. Insert wires on each end until they reach the built-in wire stop in the center.

The vinyl insulation prevents incidental metal to metal contact that can cause shorts.

Two crimps are required, one for each wire.

Nylon Butt Splice Terminals

Connect two wires together. Insert wires on each end until they reach the built-in wire stop in the center.

The nylon insulation provides greater durability. It also allows you to see the wires in the splice to ensure a proper crimp.

Two crimps are required, one for each wire.

Heat-Shrink Butt Splice Terminals

For use in harsh environments, these terminals feature a heat shrink connection that also has an internal sealant. After crimping the terminal onto the wire, simply apply heat. Keeps moisture out while ensuring your wire does not pull out of the terminal.

Heavy Duty Heat-Shrink Butt Splice Terminals

A heavy duty heat shrink jacket makes it very difficult to cut into these heat shrink terminals during the crimping process, a common problem with basic heat shrink terminals. If, in a rare instance, you do pierce the jacket, during the heat shrink process the jacket will heal itself and fill in the hole with sealant. This is the highest quality line of heat of heat shrink terminals available.

For use in harsh environments, after crimping the terminal onto the wire, simply apply heat. Keeps moisture out while ensuring your wire does not pull out of the terminal.

Requires one crimp on each end plus heat.

Solder Heat-Shrink Butt Splice Terminals

For use in harsh environments, these terminals feature a heat shrink connection that also has an internal sealant. By simply applying heat, you'll also melt a small amount of solder at each end that makes a perfect connection - no crimps required. Also keeps moisture out while ensuring your wires do not pull out of the terminal.

Only heat required to install terminal on wire.

Solder and Crimp Heat-Shrink Butt Splice Terminals

The most secure connection you can get from a butt splice for the harshest of environments

First, crimp the terminal at each end to hold it in place. Next a heat shrink connection that also has an internal sealant glues the wires in place after heat is applied. At the same time, you'll also melt a small amount of solder at each end that makes the connection as secure as possible. Also keeps moisture out while ensuring your wires do not pull out of the terminal.

A crimp is required on each end, along with heat.
